Today marks another important milestone in our nationwide mapping journey. After wrapping up Kapchorwa and Sipi Falls, our team moved east to Bukwo District, working in Bukwo Town and extending right to the Suam border area.
Bukwo has its own quiet charm—open landscapes, friendly communities, and a hospitality culture that often goes unnoticed by mainstream tourism. Our goal was simple: meet the people behind the accommodation facilities and bring them onto Frenzo Africa, our growing central booking platform.

We spent the day visiting guesthouses, resorts, small lodges and local camping spots. Some of these places have never been listed online before, relying mostly on passersby and local referrals. Sitting with the owners, hearing the stories behind each place, and explaining how the platform will connect them to more travelers was one of the highlights of our work.
Bukwo’s proximity to the Kenyan border makes it a strategic stopover for hikers, tourists, traders, cross-border travelers, and adventure seekers heading toward Mount Elgon’s eastern routes. With these facilities now onboarded, travelers will find it easier to discover and book accommodation of all price ranges at frenzoafrica.com.
Beyond accommodation, we also interacted with local community members who support tourism indirectly such as transport providers, and guides who know the terrain better than any map ever could. Their contribution reminds us that tourism is more than destinations; it’s people and culture.
This is just one more district checked off, and many more ahead. We remain committed to shining a light on every hidden gem across Uganda.
Our journey is proudly powered by Suzuki and Total Energies.
