Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Meet your driver-guide in Kampala or Entebbe and set off for western Uganda. The scenic drive winds through lush countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes before reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Arrive in time for an evening relaxation or optional sunset drive to spot elephants and antelopes against the Rwenzori backdrop.
Overnight: Lodge near the park.
Day 2 - Classic Safari & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Wake to the sounds of the wild!
Enjoy an early-morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, where lions stalk kob herds and elephants roam freely. After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, teeming with hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and over 600 bird species, a true photographer’s paradise.
Overnight: Lodge near the park.
Day 3 - Transfer to Rwenzori Mountains Base
After breakfast, drive north to the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, often called the “Mountains of the Moon.”
Enjoy lunch at your lodge, then take a guided nature walk through the lower montane forests — home to colorful butterflies, monkeys, and giant tree ferns.
Overnight: Lodge in Kasese or near Nyakalengija trailhead.
Day 4 - Rwenzori Foothills Hike
Spend the day exploring the Rwenzori National Park on a guided trek through bamboo zones and river valleys such as the Mubuku Valley or Nyabitaba Trail.
Breathe in crisp mountain air and marvel at cascading streams and moss-covered trees. The hike is moderate and ideal for photography, birding, and experiencing the world-famous Rwenzori ecosystem without heavy mountaineering.
Return to your lodge for a warm dinner overlooking the peaks.
Overnight: Lodge in Kasese.
Day 5 - Return to Kampala / Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Kampala, stopping at the equator for photos and crafts.
Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport connection.
