Mapping Bukwo District: Our Journey Continues
Today marks another milestone in our nationwide mapping journey. After completing Kapchorwa and Sipi Falls, we moved east to Bukwo District, covering Bukwo Town and the Suam border area.
Although Bukwo often goes unnoticed by mainstream tourism, it offers open landscapes, welcoming communities, and a strong local hospitality culture. Our team set a clear goal: meet accommodation owners and onboard them to Frenzo Africa, our central booking platform.
Throughout the day, we visited guesthouses, small lodges, resorts, and local camping sites. Many of these businesses had never been listed online before. By meeting owners in person, listening to their stories, and explaining the platform, we showed how Frenzo Africa can connect them to more travelers.
Because of its proximity to the Kenyan border, Bukwo serves as a key stopover for hikers, traders, and adventure travelers using the eastern routes of Mount Elgon. As a result, travelers can now easily discover and book accommodation across all budgets at https://frenzoafrica.com/hotels
.
Beyond accommodation, we also engaged local guides and transport providers. Their deep knowledge of the terrain proves that tourism thrives through people and culture, not just destinations.

With Bukwo mapped, our journey continues. We remain committed to showcasing Uganda’s hidden gems, one district at a time.
